Bendigo Easter Festival is quite simply, great fun! Steeped in history, culture and more than a dash of contemporary entertainment, Easter in Bendigo has the city buzzing with excitement and spectacle. Good Friday March 21
Coliban Water Family Day has fast become the traditional entertainment on Good Friday in Bendigo. The ever popular Vision Australia Easter egg hunt will thrill intrepid little hunters who will dig for the ultimate Easter treasure – chocolate! Kids will be enchanted by the entertainment on stage throughout the day. Stroll around the market, covet the classic cars, be captivated by the art or be tempted by a taste of local wine. You will create, play, feast, dream and move all around the picturesque Lake Weeroona.

Easter Saturday March 22
Move over adults, Easter Saturday in Rosalind Park is for the kids. Heaps of fun free activities and great shows will captivate every child who dares to venture into Kidzone in Rosalind Park. Walk with giant puppets then dance and sing-a-long with another day full of kids’ entertainment on the Kidzone stage. There’s plenty of fabulous fun and activities as this day focuses on the kids.

Spectacular China is a must see this Easter. Buy your ticket to enjoy this unique and powerful stage show with music, dance, acrobatics and martial arts that brings to life the Chinese dynasties long gone, but not forgotten.

Easter Sunday March 23
Dance, drums, Lion Teams and 100,000 crackers are all part of the Awakening of the Dragon and the Chinese Spring Festival as Bendigo celebrates its Chinese heritage on Easter Sunday.
Human visitors will be able to wander freely to find the hidden creatures in the Rosalind Park Fernery with over 20 different species of never before seen sculptured and animated creatures hiding somewhere inside.
As the sun sets on a day full of colour and culture, find your place along the road to cheer on the convoy of illuminated floats in the Torchlight Procession concluding with a spectacular fireworks display to light up the night sky at Lake Weeroona.

Easter Monday March 24
The highlight of the Bendigo Easter Festival has to be The Bendigo Advertiser Gala Parade with colourful floats, clowns, marching bands and the breathtaking performance of Sun Loong as he winds his way through the streets. Chinese crackers will ward off evil spirits and bring good luck to the city until everyone comes together again for the Bendigo Easter Festival in 2009.
