Dai Gum San Chinese Precinct
A traditional celebration of lion and dragon dance, including contemporary elements presented by the Bendigo Chinese Association and visiting lion teams.
Concluding with the lighting of 100,000 firecrackers, used to wake Dai Gum Loong from his slumber in preparation for his appearance in the Sherridon Homes Gala Parade.
(Dai Gum Loong does not actually appear at this event, it is a ceremony used to wake him up in preparation for his appearance in the Sherridon Homes Gala Parade on Sunday)
