The ‘Do You Dare Me To?’ project is the result of 3 years of planning and development. Bringing together three different arts companies; CreateA, 5 Angry Men and Z Fit Studios, this event is all about pushing the boundaries of what you think is possible: A team of trainee stage managers who are living with a disability (CreateA) will be testing their mettle in the world of production and event management; Z Fit circus will take their community engagement to new heights hosting an impressive series of free workshops; the 5 Angry Men company will perform their flagship show, The Bells - a globally recognised extravaganza of music, aerial mayhem and utter exhaustion.

‘Do You Dare Me To?’ is a celebration of the resilience of Artists, the strength of community, and the power of working together as a team.

5 Angry Men

Physical theatre performance - The Bells -

5 Angry Men is a public space theatre company renowned for their innovative and extraordinary stage design and physically arduous performances requiring enormous discipline from the performers.

Their flagship show The Bells places the ensemble at the beginning of an impossible theatrical task that must be completed - at whatever cost.

To attempt the impossible necessarily exposes the paradoxes of human nature: joy & grief, triumph & defeat, heroism & cowardice, the personal quest for power & relying on community and teamwork. The result is a combination of precise choreography, chamber music, and aerial mayhem.

But no matter what - the Bells MUST be rung!

The Bendigo Easter Fair 2022 sees a triumphant return for The Bells after two years in lockdown - with daily shows and two spectacular evening performances under lights.

Performance Times:

  • Good Friday April 15, 4pm
  • Easter Saturday April 16, 4pm and 7pm
  • Easter Sunday April 17, 6pm
  • Easter Monday April 18, 4pm
