Sandeman Build Dragon Mile 2025
On Sunday, April 20th, Bendigo will come alive with the 38th annual Sandeman Build Dragon Mile, an iconic foot race held along the renowned Bendigo Easter procession route.
This mile-long race, now proudly sponsored by Sandeman Build, is set to draw thousands of enthusiastic spectators, eager to cheer on both local talent and visiting runners. The event also features a Mini-Mile for younger athletes, making this a family-friendly race and a central highlight of the Easter festivities in Bendigo.
For nearly four decades, the Dragon Mile has been a staple in Bendigo's athletic history. Proudly co-ordinated by Bendigo Harriers Athletics Club, it is a landmark race that has become a symbol of community spirit and athletic excellence.
Race route
The Sandeman Build Dragon Mile course starts and finishes at the corner of Pall Mall and Mundy Street. Runners will make their way to the Fountain, turn right up View Street to Dudley House, and return along the same route back to the start. The Mini-Mile participants will race to the fountain and back, offering the younger generation a chance to be part of this iconic event.
