Steam train to the Bendigo Easter Festival

Join Steamrail as we head to Bendigo for a day at the Bendigo Easter Festival behind steam locomotive R711 and heritage diesel locomotives.

Sit back in your comfortable compartment and enjoy the scenery as our classic steam locomotive powers through the line's historic tunnels and viaducts. On arrival at Bendigo there is 5 hours to explore and take part in the festival. After a full day out, relax in your comfortable 1920s or 1940s carriage with a snack, or some light refreshments as we take you home to Melbourne.

FIRST CLASS
Go first class! Relax in your comfortable air conditioned and heated 1930s-vintage 'S Type' Carriage compartment. All seating is reserved.

EXCURSION CLASS
Experience our 'E Type' Carriages dating back to 1906 with beautiful timber work & pressed-tin ceilings, walk-through corridors, and comfortable compartment style seating. Featuring 'old-school' air-con, with the windows wide open to beat the heat and listen to the engine working hard up the Central Victorian Hills. All seating is reserved.

ON-TRAIN SERVICES
Our on-train facilities include a kiosk which stocks a range of light refreshments, snacks, and hot and cold drinks. A licensed bar will also be operating, serving a range of beers, wines, and spirits. A range of souvenirs will also be able for purchase from our on-board store.
